Building activities
The Danish Parliament has decided to improve laboratory buildings at Danish universities. In the case of the University of Copenhagen this decision means that the state will put up DKK 2.5 billion and the University itself will pay DKK 0.8 billion. Thus, a total of DKK 3.3 billion has been earmarked for laboratory buildings. DKK 2.6 billion will be used on four new laboratory buildings for the faculties of science, health sciences, pharmaceutical sciences and life sciences and DKK 0.7 billion will be used to modernise existing laboratory buildings.
It had already been decided to construct new buildings for the faculties of humanities, law, theology and social sciences. The building activities at the University of Copenhagen that have been approved and financed but not yet completed amount to a total of approx. DKK 4.9 billion.
