Our new buildings

Large sums have been invested in new facilities for the University of Copenhagen. Currently the university has construction projects in the planning stage, in the design phase or under execution at all of its four campus areas. Furthermore, several buildings have been inaugurated.

  • New Natural History Museum

    Opening in 2023.

  • The Niels Bohr Building

    Expected occupancy in 2021.  The Niels Bohr Building will house state-of-the-art laboratory and classroom facilities for the Faculty of Science. 
  • Copenhagen Plant Science Centre

    The beautiful marble floor is inspired by research in plant cells. Read more about the building 
  • The Mærsk Tower

    The Tower has been given several prices for its sustainability and innovative style. Read more about The Mærsk Tower.
  • Facilities for the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Theology

    The third part of Southern Campus included new libraries, cafées and bars for the students.
  • The Pharma Science Building

    The new labs for phamaceutical research were inaugurated in 2016. 

  • Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management

    The building is the base of students and researchers studying forestry, nature and outdoor recreation
  • New facilities for the Faculty of Humanities

    Userfriendly state of the art buildings as part of a united and welcoming campus.

  • Facilities for the Faculty of Social Sciences

    The new auditioriums were ready for lectures in 2013.

  • Facilities for the Department of Food Science

    The new facilities for studies and research in Food Science were ready in 2013.
